Wow, I guess I'm older than I thought. I thought almost everyone here would have seen this movie, When I was in college, we all loved it and watched it every time it came on TV, and that was 10 yrs after the movie had been released. I showed it to my kids and they love it too, it's timeless.

Anyway, I would highly recommend that anyone who hasn't seen it should rent it or watch it online, you won't be sorry. Maude is a unique character, as is Harold.

Hey PG (again)--couldn't agree more...absolutely loved this movie from the beginning (ie, very early 70s, yes, you ARE old if you were in HS when it came out as I was). And of course, though I didn't care for some of CatS material, it was absolutely perfect for the flick, IMO.

This was the fav movie of my very first serious girlfriend so it has great significance on the nostalgia front; then, independently, it became a fav of one of sons as well...must have seen it dozens and dozens of times by now...

It is one of those movies that really seems to have an impact on a large number of folks I've known over the years...I don't think I've ever met anyone that responded with "Are you kidding me? That movie sucks" or whatever...

Shocking JOTS! You must go out and rent this ASAP.

Time can pack a mighty fist PG . Knock you back on your heels even .
Maude is pretty cool . I hope to go out with a similar panache .
Harold is slightly creepy , innocent , and odd ( most teenagers ? , hmmm ) . The lover of Death wanting so much life and the end of the movie . Good work Maude .
